1. Can the file DVD Ripper Pro create be used on other devices other than a PC.
Yes, we fully support DivX and XViD, which is available on a large number of standalone devices.

2. Why is h.264 encoding slower than the other codecs.
h.264 is an intensive codec in terms of CPU and Memory requirements, the video files it produces are generally smaller and higher quality than DivX and XViD, but at the expense of the time it takes to encode them.

3. Do you support 5.1 DivX or XViD Yes, you can create full 5.1 surround sound AVI files from our software, simply select the option for 6 channels.

4. Why isn't my video full screen, when I play it back in Media Player
You need to select one of the predetermined resolutions under the profile menu.
We have several profiles for 1.85:1 and 2.35:1 widescreen films.

5. Do I need any codecs installed to use the software.
You do not need any codecs installing to create video files from DVD Ripper Professional, but you do need codecs installed for Windows Media Player and the likes to be able to play the file back.
